Printing Problem 追蹤

Hello

BarTender 10 Enterprise is running on a Windows 7 computer.
Backwords is a licence server running.
The BarTender printing is activated over activex with Labview.
It works most time perfect, but sometimes it is printing an
label with old data (data from a few days before), the computer will turn of every evening.
Some Data on the label are received from a database.
Labview sends the important Labeldata to Bartendeer over activex, some of the transmitted data are stored in a database,
the data in the database are correct, but the printed data are wrong.

Could someone help me to fix that problem?

Thanks
Andy

Hello Andy,

The only way of printing labels with old data is if your application specifies this variable data to the BarTender document directly, if your application prints (without modifying) a previously saved document with that old data, or if the document sent is using database information that's already been used.

1. Could you let me know if your application is saving the documents with the variable data after printing them (using the btFormat.Close(BarTender.BtSaveOptions.btSaveChanges) method)? Does it do it every time it prints or only sometimes?

2. Where exactly is this variable data coming from? Is it coming from a database (and your ActiveX application specifies the records to print, or even the actual database to use)? Or is your application directly modifying the named sub-strings from your documents?

Hello

1. we use this methode only at close or exit the main labview software.
The mistake happens only sometimes.

2. We send this data over the methode IbtFormat.SetNamedSubStringValue.....
Sometimes it makes a mix with old data.

best regards
Andy

If your application is setting the data on the document at print time for each substring then it's probably that at some point the assigned data is not the correct one.

Could you create a log on your application to verify exactly what is being assigned to each substring at print time?

Could you also activate the print log information option in BarTender (from the "Administer>Log Setup..." option, under the "Text File Log" tab)?

After activating both options and recording the print job and the assignation of each substring when printing old data, please send them both to our tech support email (probably it's easier to treat this issue through our direct support).

Also please send us on that email your serial/support number found in the "Help>About..." dialog.

You can find the email address from your closest support office on the below webpage (do comment that you are replying over a forum topic):

Thanks!
