Hello,

We are currently trying to print some labels with the inverted text formatting (white font on dark background)

It works fine on a our desktop printer, but print black rectangles on DataMax I-4208, as you can see in attached screenshot

What we have tried

  • Changing fonts (different Arial, Tahoma, etcc...) has no effect
  • Changing text size has no effect (just in case text would be too small
  • Updating drivers (as you can see in attached screenshot version is 7.3.2 from your website)
  • enabling/disabling the truetype option for font
  • Drawing ourselves white font on dark background instead of using the "inverted text" option
  • Using an other printer
  • ...

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Use a Windows font and select the white on black style.

From the Print dialog under the "Object Print Method" tab set the lines and boxes items to print using raster graphics.

Under the "Performance" tab in the Print dialog disable all of the performance options.  Note that you might be able to re-enable some of these depending on your label design, but start with none then re-enable one at a time though trial and error.

I don't know if this helps, or is an option for you, but I had this same issue no matter what printer, even when printing to PDF. I tried all the possible solutions list in the forums, and the thing that finally solved it for me was to make sure each piece of text that would be white on black was at the start of a new line. Basically I added a line feed just before the white on black text.
