You either have an incorrectly installed printer driver, wrong port or faulty install in some way, or the configuration of the driver is wrong?  Do you get any error on the printer itself?  That normally point to a config issue, such as wrong print mode or something.

Is the configuration on the Windows Server side?

I didn't make any changes to the print settings when I changed from the Zebra Drivers to the Seagull drivers so the settings are at their defaults.

The LCD on the printer does not report an error. And the error I get in Windows is generic... . "error - printing"

I suspect you installed it wrong somehow.  Use the Seagull DriverWizard to remove the driver, and then run the Seagull DriverWizard to reinstall it.  Then open up BarTender and you label design, and get it working from their manually before trying to print via Commander.

I know this is an old post but I'm having the same issue. Only a reboot of the printer doesn't work. I've re-installed the drivers. Even tried sharing from another pc and still the same issue.

If there are any jobs in error in the print spooler then this will stop the printing from working and anytime you reset the printer those error jobs will be resent to it. As this is the case I would suggest you clear down any print jobs sat in the spoolers of the PCs first. Then disconnect the printer from the PC/network and cycle the power on it.

Once it has powered up, press feed to make sure it is working correctly and is then in a Ready state.

Next reconnect it to the PC/network and from the driver (not BarTender directly) go to the Printer Properties and then click Preferences from the General tab.

In the new window, select the Stock tab and make sure the Print Method, Media Type and Mode are correct for your media or else set to Use Current Printer Settings/ Once any changes are made click Ok and then back in the Printer Properties screen chose the Tools tab.

From the Action drop down press the From Feed button to make sure the printer feeds a blank label without error. If that works then chose Generic Test from the Print drop down.

Assuming all is okay after these, close the Printer Properties screen and open your label in BarTender Designer..

Go to File>Print and chose the your printer and then check that the Document Properties>Stock settings are correct for your driver. If they are click OK to come out of that screen and then hit the Test Print button to have BarTender print a label with the data as shown on the BarTender screen without any database or data entry information.

Again if that works then try printing a job normally from within Designer and see what that does
