Variable Length Labels On Datamax E4305A Mk Iii Printer 追蹤

We are using Datamax-O'Neil E4395A Mark III label printers to print commercial fishing licenses on durable (waterproof) stock, but not all documents are the same length.  Our printers are equipped with cutters and continuous roll media stock, and can produce documents of any desired length.  However, we have been unable to mix label lengths on the same printer.  Is it possible to set label length individually on a label-by-label basis?

We are using Optio software to format the label layout and merge customer data, and have the printer defined as a GDI device using Seagull driver version 7.3.6.0 for Datamax printers.  The licenses look great, but all documents print at the same length even when different paper stock sizes are selected in the dynamic label generation process.

Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I don't know much about Optio - however in BarTender, when you have several document (layout) files which different dimension and print, you should be able to print different length labels.

Try BarTender 30-day trial edition - that might solves the issue.

For automated printing this forum post might helps..

Thanks, Shotaro!  Your answer is helpful and the link is very informative.  Our issue appears to be in the label-processing software, not in the driver.  Unfortunately, due to budget limitations I can not consider purchasing additional licenses.  (I looked at BarTender briefly several months ago, I will look at it again.) .We use Optio for other purposes so it is already available and it works well except for this one limitation.  Apparently Optio is not correctly communicating page-length information to the driver.
