Settings In Driver From Document? 追蹤

Hello,

We have the following situation:

Our customers uses BT10 automation.

There is 1 workstation which is used to create labels.

These labels are stored on a network drive.

The labels use substrings in order to let our application fill the fields at printtime.

The workstation has a CAB A4+ printerdriver which is linked to the created labelformats.

Now we have two machines using these labels.

These machines are weighing machines, having a touchpanel, running our application under Win8

The application gets the labelformats from the network drive, fill the various named substrings and sends the labelformat to the printerdriver.

Now there is a difference in the printers on each machine.

One printer uses thermal direct, the printer on the other machine uses thermal transfer.

One printer uses labels on backing paper, the other printer uses a cutting device.

Now all of these parameters seems to be inherated by the driver from the document and that causes our direct thermal printer complain about missing transfer media.

Is there a way to let these different printers, they are the same make and model but use different accesories, use the right parameters from there own driver without having the document overrule the settings in the driver(s)?

I hope someone is able to help me on this situation!

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Harm

BarTender document keeps driver's printing preference.

If possible, create bartender document using target printer setting, at design time.

In case designer PC cannot connect to actual printer, you can install dummy printer driver to COM1 etc.

Another thought is, there's seagull driver setting to ignore document's setting.

Printer properties > Tools tab > Driver Options > Network Settings > Printing Preferences, enable "Share settings between all documents".

Hello Shotaro,

Thanks for your reply.

Do I have to set this property in the driver on the designer PC, or the target PC?

You're saying to ignore settings i have to enable "Share settings between all documents"

This sounds a little weard.

Is this really correct?

Regards

Hello Harm, apply the setting to the target PC. Enabling that ignores individual document's settings and all the printed document shares the driver's setting.
