Stutter Print
I am using BarTender to connect to an Excel xlsx database to pull all information for required fields on the btw format. The problem I am having is when I print all or print a small selected records the printer will stutter in its print. Meaning it will print 1 row of 4 labels and stop for about .5-1 second then resume for the next row and stop again, so on and so forth. If I remove 2 fields from the label it won't stop as much as if the fields were still on the label. I have some formats with close to the same type of field setup that will not stop at all and others that do stop. The reason I don't think it's the printer is because it doesn't do it on all of my formats. Most of the formats I use are all very close to the same but still different.
Here are my specs:

The effect is almost always down to the amount of data being sent to the printer on a per label basis.
Make sure that the performance features are enabled via the BarTender "Print" dialog under the "Performance" tab.
I imagine that the variable, database connected text objects are using a true type font instead of a Datamax device font. This means that the printer will have to digest additional graphic data on a per label basis which is why you get the stutter. Reduce the per label data overhead by using device fonts means that a single DPL command is sent for these items thereby increasing data through-put.
You should find the below white paper helpful:

THANK YOU SO MUCH! That worked, now there is ZERO stutter. 0
