Poor Quality Output From Zebra Zd500R
Hello
I'm getting poor quality print output and having trouble pinpointing the cause
I believe I have set all the printer settings correct and saved to the BTW file:
Darkness set at 10
Print speed at 2 ips.
Thermal Transfer print type
Fresh ribbon (Ribbon is OEM Zebra brand recommended for the printer)
ZPII Driver v7.3.5
Bartender Professional 10
Attached are photos of the output.
Thanks for any suggestions

Hello, would the setting actually reflected to the printer? If so, changing print speed and darkness would affect printer behavior at least.
If setting applied in BarTender doesn't affect,
In Print dialog > Printer properties, Tools > Driver options > Network Settings, disable [Share settings between all documents](if enabled.)
If you can read ZPL commands, try recording printer code by Tools > Logging options > Printer code recording.
Also try avoiding print barcode on RFID tag (I guess you already know that)

Shotaro thanks for the reply.
I played with it some more and turned off PRINTER DEFAULTS and saved changes to the BTW file itself. It's better but I have the darkness turned up to 18. That seems quite high to me so hoping that is ok.
What would I do with the ZPL language I record?
Thanks again

Thanks. since you got clear enough print, you don't need to enable printer code recording.
For recorded code, you can have fun read the code to understand how PC send commands to the printer - or, just let that job to BarTender.
(In troubleshooting, the print code will give us very good clue of what happening in between driver and printer.)
