Offset Printing Between Two Different Pc's Using Print Station
Hi I am having a very frustrating problem using two different PC's printing a label via the Print Station and the label printing is offset, please see attached image.
I am using release 10 SR4 Automation version on all machines with a Intermec PC43t printer trying to print the offending label.
The printer is set-up on a server and then shared connection is via WiFi. The client machines then have a printer added from the network directory.
So the label was designed as per the image on the right and prints from my machine fine but then on a client machine I get the result on the left, the label was designed on my machine which is running the design software whereas the client only has the print station installed.
Help this is driving me crazy!!!

Do you print to the same phisical printer? if so, driver setting could be wrong.
Make sure the exact same printer driver is used on 2 PCs, or re-install both printer driver with the same model. (there's some variation like Esim, DP, IPL).
Intermec drivers: http://www.seagullscientific.com/drivers/intermec-windows-printer-drivers.aspx
At design time, explicitly select the intermec printer - not (Default) printer.
On the problematic PC, revert default setting from Printer properties > Tools tab > Driver options > Reset to defaults.
(from there you could copy settings.)
There's driver offset in Printer Properties > General > Printing preferences > Page Setup > Advanced options.
If the printers are the same model but physically different, reset the printer to factory state.

Hi thanks for the reply.
Yes it is the same physical printer.
How do I make sure each PC has the same driver? When I add a printer to the PC from the network directory it installs automatically and one machine is a 32bit and the other is a 64bit.

When you use the same server, usually that's won't be a problem.
Try update server's driver version (latest 7.3.7 was just out), then on client, remove the printer and connect to the printer again, to re-install driver.
Also try default setting.

I have just updated the driver on the server to the latest version but I have not had chance to fully test I will report back later.

OK so I have now removed all the Intermec print drivers from both client machines and sever. Re-installed the latest Intermec driver onto the server and the added the network printer to the sever and then shared adding it to the network directory.
I have then installed the shared printer onto both client machines from the server which installed the drivers automatically. I have set the label size via the driver as a user defined size on the server and also on the client machines (63 x 33 with 4mm margins)
I have printed from my machine (64 bit W7) using both print station and the Bartender software and I get a perfect print, I still need to adjust the print speed and darkness but the alignment if good.
I now print from the other client (32 bit W7) using only the print station because I don't want this client to have access to the design software I then get a vertical miss-alignment of about 6mm. I would attach an image but I don't know how to attach it to the post.
The only thing different between the two machines is that one is 32 bit and the other is 64 bit and one is running design software and print station version 10.0.2868 and the other just the print station version 10.0.2821.
So what can I do now I have tried putting in an offset using the advance setting in the print driver on the server but then loose the bottom part of the text on the label.

Update BarTender suite on the print station PC to 10.0SR4 (2868).
http://www.seagullscientific.com/label-software/fixes_100.aspx
At design time, specify printer explicitly - not select (Default) printer.
Try printing from BarTender on the print station PC to check if that's happens only on print station or not.
On print dialog's document properties, check all settings are properly copied from design pc.
(document properties should be kept in btw document)
Image can be attached from More reply options button at the bottom.
If doesn't help, From that state I recommend to contact regional technical support by e-mail, with btw file and driver version info (about tab > version > save) attached, referring this forum topic.
