Printer fails to print
I am using an EPSON ColorWorks C4000u. Each time the printer tries to print it may print a single label and then throw out 5 or 6 blank labels. The printer says "Cannot detect the paper selected in "Media Detect". Load the selected paper or change the "Media Settings"." I have performed both manual and automatic cleaning protocols per printer instructions with no luck. Is this a maintenance issue on the printer's sensor?

You probably need to determine if the fault is in the printer or your label settings. If you cycle the power of the printer and when it is ready state try feeding a couple of labels from the buttons on the printer itself. If that works then the printer looks okay and it sounds like the PC/driver/label settings are where the issue lies. If you are using the Seagull driver then is you go into Control Panel and the Printers section and go to the Printer Properties there should be a Tools tab and a Action drop down. Select the Form Feed option from there and if it goes into error then the driver settings are the problem. If that still works then you will need to look at the config of your label format
