Print from database resizing template
We have an external database (Benchling) linked to bartender for label printing services. Currently we are having one printer (of our 12) changing the scale of the template being used. This template file (.btw) can be used to print the identical information on a second machine (on a different computer and network port) from our database with no issue, so it seems isolated to one machine.
I can manually download the .btw file and open with bartender and print with no issue, only when its going through the database print on this one machine do we see resizing issues.
We have compared the generic printer settings between two separate Cab Mach 1 printers and the appear to be running identical printer settings.
My questions pertain to trying to troubleshoot this issue. What setting and menus to look into to try and find why this one printer is not behaving with the database print? Why only this one printer? Is it a network setting? Database setting? Printer property setting?
Software: Bartender 2022 R8; Build 216048; Enterprise edition
Printer: Cab Mach 1/300; Part No. 5430002

That sounds like an odd one. May be a daft question but you have checked that the driver installed matches the dpi of that printer?
Can you access the other printers from different computers (ie share them between the PCs) and then try printing to the suspect printer from the other PC and visa versa to see if the error is PC specific or printer specific? If not go to print a label from a working PC with the database link but on the File>Print screen tick the print to file option and create an output/PRN file. Repeat this on the dodgy computer and then copy each of these files to the other computer and, having now unticked the print to file, from the File>Print select Printer Properties and in the Tools tab use the Send File to Printer drop down option to print the PRN file from the other computer to the two printers and compare what prints. The PRN file will include all the settings of the driver of the PC it was created on and so you should hopefully see if the error is in the BarTender/driver install or with the printer itself.
If it is software related then try removing and reinstalling both the printer driver and BarTender from that computer to see if that helps> If the issue is with the printer then try resetting it to factory defaults.
EDIT: Just a quick thought, before trying the above, open the label on the dodgy PC and go to File>Print and use the Test Print button at the bottom left. This will print what is on the screen/base label layout, without the database connection being used and see what that does. If that prints correctly then you may need to look at the database connection. I would suggest creating a new test label and link it to your database and print from that to see what that does
