v2022 printed images are pixelated - v2016 output of same template/printer queue OK
We're finalizing our migration to v2022 and have found that graphics printed from v2022, using the exact same template and images as with v2016 are pixelated / bitmapped / screened. The poor image quality can be observer while in either the Designer or Print Portal preview which accurately matches the physical print. If a PDF of the label is used for proofing or output the graphics are perfect.
The intended label printer is a Printronix Auto ID T8304 – PGL and the latest Seagull version has been installed.
The graphics which have been printing without issue for years are png files. However, I’ve tested bmp, tiff, and jpg versions with no change in print quality. I have confirmed that there is not halftone or dithering applied and that the images are all 300 dpi, monochrome files.
Any suggestions on what might have changed between the versions and/or how to get the same image quality out of v2022 as v2016 prints, would be great.
