How to create a label with query prompt and print it with /%
Hello, I'm looking for a way to print via the "command line". I've found the commands. I'm just not sure how to parameterize the label so that I can get the variable from the command line into the variable. All I can find is that I need a "query prompt". In the documentation I only find queries for databases. But I don't have a database. Can someone explain to me or link to explanations of how I can solve the problem?

I believe this is what you are looking for
This can be found in the Help menu if you search for Command Line Parameters in the BarTender Suite

Hi Peter
Thank you for your post.
I know this point in the help.My problem is NOT the command (/?<query prompt name>="<query prompt value>"), my problem IS the point: query prompt.
How do I get the query prompt into the label? I don't understand it.I haven't found an answer to this question in the help.
I know it works, but I don't know how.
I tried a database via a file. I thought I could then fill the query prompt not only via the file, but also via the command line. It didn't work.I'm very frustrated.

You need to configure a database filter in your Database Connection Setup so that you can then pass the parameter to it.
