Hello,

i am trying to create e Print form for our Labels. It sould be easy:

In Print Station it should display a form with just a Textfield for Barcode
If a Barcode is scanned it sould automaticly print de Data behind the Barcode.

If have allready a Template, but it does not work as i intended. It shows the form (but i have di select all Postions from Database before) (Or it just wont work if i select "All" Data in "Print")

I will, post a link to my template, can anyone explain where i stuck?

I am not 100% sure what you mean but I think it looks like you want to scan the barcode and then let that select the correct product from the database to print.

If this is the case then what you need to do is create a filter in the Database Setup that is linked to your barcode field in the database and then link the input box ton the Data Entry form to this filter

Hello, you saved my day or even my year! :)
One more question, just to understand more of the meta of the designer.

If i want to scan first, after this it should ask me how many of the same labels it should print. Do i this also with  querys or is it to do in another way?

All you need to do is add an input box some some kind on your Data Entry Form (number input normally but you could use a text one instead if you wanted).

If you note in the bottom image above, where I highlighted linking to the database query/filter, there is a Copies parameter, this links to the number of labels/copies box on the Print screen and so you just need to connect your new data entry input box to this

Hello, you actually helped me a lot.
If you dont mind i ask you one or two question more :)

Is it possible to show information in the data entry form from the selectet Record
(Like Name, descripion or price etc.)

If a Record is choosen by barcode, it should show information about the record on the form.
(even Pictures from the Database, but as i understand this is not possible)

Thank you for your advice.

If you use the add an image option on the Data Entry Form one of the options from there is Preview of Template.

With this configured when you select a record from the database then the image will show the record details for the label fields and it will also show, as you type the "value" of fields that you linked to Entry boxes on the Data Entry form as per the image below.

That will hopefully cover both of your requirements, but you can add extra Entry fields on the Data Entry Form to show  but make them Read Only and so although they appear and say show the value of the 3rd column in the database the operator cannot change these. If these are not set to Read Only, these fields would then have a default value equivalent to the value in the database but that the users can overtype if required, For example, if you were shipping a part box of items, the database could have a value of say 20 for the full box quantity but the users could overtype this if they were only shipping a part box.

Perfect, this works Great, i used the Read Only method.
For the Picturtes i ment Pictures from the Database. But i think it depens on the Database how the picure is stored in it.
I tried to display the picures from the records with no success.

But for the Entry Form with additional information it works like a charm!

I most instances I would try and avoid using embedded images in the database as they need to be stored in a certain way but instead would just have the name (and sometimes path) in the Picture Properties

I could get it to work with local stored images.

But its not possible to make this work on Data entry form it seems. (It works fine in the template of the Label.)

No I dont believe so.

If the image is shown on your label then you could just use the Preview of Template as shown above. However if it isnt you could add a 2nd template and set this to Do Not Print but include on that your databased image and then choose that template as the template that is previewed
