Dropdown list control embedded data sort 追蹤

I have a small dropdown list in one of my labels that has manually entered items that I may need to add to occasionally in the future. The help file says that you can sort embedded data list items and that will set how they display, but every time I try to do that, it reverts to the originally entered order as soon as I exit the control properties window. How do I make that sort stick so I don't have to re-enter the entire list each time?

The only way I could get it to work was to set it as a Multiple Column Database list object (even though only one column) and then I could configure the sort on this screen:

I just finished trying this out and it works. Thanks! I like the aesthetic of the single column menu a bit better (specifically, the option to automatically size the dropdown box to fit the item list), but a little bit clunkier look is honestly worth it to not have to redo the list every time we add a new product. I just know it'll be a lot easier to find the correct item if they're sorted in the display.

I appreciate the help!
