Weird label issues with LZ77 Graphics Compression checked.
Had a weird issue where a 1.5"x2.2" label views fine in Designer but printed off the label shifted about an inch to the left. Eventually by process of elimination was able to get label to align when printing by unchecking this:
"Allow LZ77 Graphics Compression" in Print, Document Properties, Options.
This was an issue on an Avery-Dennison ADTP2 printer.
Any reason this would cause such an issue or bug perhaps?
BarTender is 2019 R3.

Hi Kenneth!
Welcome to the BarTender Community!
Hard to tell if this would be a bug or perhaps it's environment-specific. We would appreciate it if you could give us some more information in order to see if we can recreate the issue:- Are you using Drivers by Seagull™ for the Avery-Dennison ADTP2? If so, what is the driver version?
- Did this happen with all labels or just the one with 1.5"x2.2" dimensions?
If the driver version is outdated, perhaps we could try using an updated version to see if this corrects the issue; also, is there any reason why you are using BarTender 2019 R3? We could try updating the service release to the latest one and see if this makes any difference.

Hello Xabier,
Thanks for your reply.
For the driver we are installing from the Seagull driver file "Monarch_2021.3.exe". I believe this is your latest. This printer is confusing because it has both "Avery Dennison" and "Monarch" on it and your driver install has versions for both Avery Dennison ADTP2 and Monarch ADTP2. So we tried both and both have these problems. The driver version shows as 2021.3.0.0. I believe that is your latest.
As far as BarTender versioning that brings up other issues.
Our servers are at 2019 R3 because they are generally working and we just haven't setup a plan to update. QA and PRODuction need to stay in sync. But on my local PC I had 2019 R9 and still had the issue.
This morning I figured I would move my local PC up to 2021 R8 (your latest) but first removed 2019 R9. After a reboot I am seeing a Windows Installer with your Welcome screen during startup attempting to install BarTender 2019 R3 and I don't know why that is. I have no Seagull software on my PC except for printer drivers now.
There are no BarTender installs listed in startup. There are numerous references to Seagull and BarTender in the Windows Registry however. I have been hesitant to remove anything from the registry without specific instructions.
So before I move to 2021 I want to fix the issue where 2019 R3 continues to try to install.
What do you recommend next? Allow that install to run and see what happens? Clean the registry somehow?

Hi again Kenneth,
I believe that the best course of action would be to allow the installation to continue and then patch your BarTender 2019 R3 software to the latest revision since the process is simple (installing it over the top should do the trick). Please, follow our article on How to Update BarTender to the Latest Service Release if you have any doubts. Also, here is a link to the latest BarTender 2019 installer.
I hope this helps and let us know if there are any issues with the process!0 -
I don't see that this issue has been resolved for the customer but I remember having a similar issue with Bartender 10.1 and the ADTP1 back in 2016. We recently purchased a new ADTP1 and I am testing with Bartender 2022 R5 with the Monarch Avery ADTP1EF 300DPI driver version 2023.2 and I don't have this issue anymore. Since Monarch printers have been Wholly owned subsidiary of Avery Dennison for more than 10 years, I would suggest to update the Avery printer drivers on the Seagull website with the ADTP1 and ADTP2 drivers.
