printing - stack number suddenly overflown with 9s
Hi
So this is how my sticker looks like in Designer:
But on Print Preview it looks like this:
as you can see - it is missing the julian code after "2" and bottom part where would be stack number and stack qty
Any idea why is this happening?
We moved from some ancient version of bartender to 2016 recently (still looking for an update to 2021 soon)

Does it print the fields and they are just missing on the preview? If so is VB being used to generate the output?

hi, IT just updated bartender to 2022 version and problem disappeared.
though not the end of my problems, now when we run i.e. 44 stacks of 20 stickers when it comes down to stack 38 it's suddenly printed over with row of 9s as pictured below
any suggestions how to fix?

Hello!
Fixed it now - for those wondering - in Print Station preview limit was set as 100. And since each stack is 20 labels it was cutting me out after 100.
Still not impressed though as when I have 140 stacks it takes ages to generate preview in order to be able to print but I'm sure this can be modified somehow in designer? (I didn't design label, just tackling existing one)
Any thoughts on how to print directly?

UPDATE:
i've used this tip of yours from other topic to skip generating all pages of preview (generating preview on form), it worked but it's not always updates picture preview instantly with database selection, you have to click PRINT 1-2 times and be taken back to form till it eventually kicks in.Thanks

Quick question, why do you need to generate a preview for each label?
What happens if you just use the print option without the preview?

That's thing - I don't!
When i open Print Station that's my 1st screen:
then you select product and got either preview or print before making any selection from database. people used to click Preview, then make a selection out of database and this results in 2022 version of bartender with generating preview of each sticker prior to being able to print...
I've asked them now to click PRINT
Which takes them to the next screen where the form is with inserted picture of template preview as per your suggestion from other post
thing is - not always preview updates rightaway when you make a selection out of database. then they have to click PRINT and being automatically taken back to form and after a few times (2-3) it eventually updates and they can print them without generating every page preview.
Not massive issue, more like a glitch.

One thing you could try:
- Open the label in Designer and File>Save As the label as Test or similar
- Add a new Data Entry Form using the button highlighted below.
- On the old form select the database record field (inc its header) and then right mouse click on this selection and use Cut
- On the new data entry form, right click on it and click Paste to move the record selection to the new form.
- On the tabs at the bottom, drag Form1 so it is to the right of Form2
- Save and close the label and try printing with the new Test label to see what that does with regards the Preview image on the form
