This is for BT2016. I'm running many integrations from csv files. Right now they scan (Notifications only) a drop folder that's dedicated to a specific printer, and look for a file pattern that's specific and matches to a single .btw file. We may have up to 4-5 individual integrations for a single label file, each specifying a separate printer.
The only Action is Print Document, and in the Document section of that I specify the file path, and there are two check boxes under it, "Close at end of print job", "Save document at end of print job" and "Skip thumbnail regeneration". Most of our files have Close unchecked and Save and Skip checked. Since this all runs as a service, I'm wondering if things might run smoother if these documents were closed and not saved instead. No changes are being made to the template, it's just reading a new input data file (which does get renamed as part of File Detection). And if all btw files are remaining open in memory, that might slow things down too.
The server running this version of BarTender 2016 is very very slow and unstable compared to our older 10.1 systems, so I'm trying to make sure we don't have any unnecessary complexity
