Problems printing and encoding rolls of the AD321R6 on a ZT410R 203DPI printer
1. We are experiencing problems printing and encoding rolls of the the AD321R6 on a ZT410R 203DPI printer. It seems the gap between the tags is too latge? One tag prints and encodes perfectly, but when trying to process the 20 000 tags on a roll the process fails. The gap between the tags is 19mm. Software being used is Bartender BTP-1.
2. The Zebra support community suggested the following: "Good morning Rob, thank You for reaching us! Sounds like it could be caused by media calibration. ZT410 specs list 2-4 mm as the recommended gap size. I would still attempt the following: 1) Manual calibration 2) Submitting commands to switch between reflective and transmissive sensors to see if either of them would work better: - reflective: ^XA ^JSR ^XZ - transmissive: ^XA ^JST ^XZ If none of it works, I would recommend testing with standard Zebra tags to make sure that sensors are working fine."
Can you offer advice on point 1?
On point 2, is it possible to configure BarTender so we can test the Zebra advice of "Submitting commands to switch between reflective and transmissive sensors to see if either of them would work better"?
Thank-you.

19mm gap? Aren't they 19mm high with what looks like a 3-4mm gap in between labels? I cant see the exact size of the gap on the spec sheet.
The first thing I would try is check that the label sensor is in the correct position and that the light from the LED is in a position so that the label itself passes over it. Then turn the printer off and then on again and, before sending a label from BarTender to it, press the Feed button once the printer is in Ready state to check if it just feeds one label with each press. If that works then the issue is with your label setup.
Looking at the spec the label it looks like the page size should be 50.8mm and 19.4mm high. For the layout there should a right and left margin set of around 3.2mm each side, but you will need to measure those to check).
It maybe worthwhile creating a new label from scratch using the above settings and adding just a text field on it for now (ignore the tags) and print a small batch of those to check the positioning.
